Four Quarles & Brady Partners Named to DiversityMBA Magazine’s 2012 Top 100 Under 50 Diverse Executive Leaders List

The leaders were selected from a group of more than 300 highly competitive candidates from public and privately held companies as well as entrepreneurs, and not for profit organizations for their achievements in their communities. This year’s honorees come from around the world and from a wide spectrum of industries, including retail, financial services, automotive, railroad, healthcare, education, medical, pharmaceutical, communications, government and consulting. The honorees are featured in DiversityMBA Magazine’s Summer 2012 issue and will be honored at the magazine’s Awards Gala held September 20th & 21st in Chicago.

Lisa Acevedo is a partner in the Health Law Group in the Firm’s Chicago office. She provides regulatory and transactional advice, and general counsel to clients representing virtually all aspects of health care. Acevedo counsels clients on compliance with statutes and regulations impacting companies doing business in the health care industry, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and implementing regulations, including the Prescription Drug Marketing Act. She received her law degree, with honors, from DePaul University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Loyola University.

Leezie Kim is a partner in the Corporate Services Group in the Phoenix office. Her practice focuses on helping clients navigate the laws of national security and international business transactions as well as healthcare and restaurant business transactions. She returned to the Firm following four years of service as a White House appointee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as general counsel to Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia and her undergraduate degree from Rice University.

Luis Ochoa is a partner in the Firm’s Indian Law Practice Group in the Tucson office. He has over 25 years of legal experience and specializes in real estate, Indian law, tribal housing, gaming, business entity formation, real estate development, leasing of non-tribal fee land, tribal trust and allotted land, the application of federal and state tax laws to tribal activities and economic development projects undertaken by tribes, tribal members, and non-Indian business clients. He earned both his law degree and undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona.

Lanse Scriven is a partner in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group in the Tampa office. He concentrates his practice in the area of business litigation, handling a diverse range of business disputes. The clients he has represented range from individual shareholders of closely-held corporations in “business divorces” to large financial institutions. A former federal appellate law clerk, Scriven also has substantial experience in all phases of appellate litigation. He earned his law degree, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Duke University.
