Hong Kong – 20 February 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Global law firm Clifford Chance has announced the appointment of four senior associates to the firm’s China Corporate practice group.
Justin Wilson joins the firm’s Corporate practice in Beijing, having been admitted in London in 1996. He has practised in London and more recently, Singapore. Justin has substantial experience of advising on cross-border M&A, disposals, joint ventures, establishing investment funds, corporate reorganisations and restructurings and general corporate and commercial transactions. Richard Lee also joins the Hong Kong Corporate practice as a Registered Foreign Lawyer and was admitted as an attorney in California in 1999. Before joining Clifford Chance, Richard was part of Baker & McKenzie Hong Kong’s China Practice Group, where he advised retailing and manufacturing clients on joint venture establishment, equity acquisitions, resolution of disputes, restructuring, and other general PRC investment issues.
Ping Ye joins the Corporate Practice from Simmons & Simmons, Hong Kong. Having been admitted in the US in 1995, and in Hong Kong in 1999, Ping is experienced in cross-border M&A and foreign investment in PRC and will be joining the Corporate practice in Beijing in due course.
Simon Bell joins the Hong Kong Corporate practice as a Registered Foreign Lawyer. Simon became a Barrister of England and Wales in 1994 before being admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1999 and in New York in 2000. Prior to his appointment with Clifford Chance, Simon worked for Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in London and New York for seven years and has wide experience in cross-border M&A, private equity and joint ventures and some experience of securities offerings.
