Intellectual Property Lawyer and Mystery Novelist Michael Kahn Joins Bryan Cave LLP

ST. LOUIS, MO, January 16, 2008 – Celebrated intellectual property attorney and mystery novelist Michael Kahn has joined Bryan Cave LLP as a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office. Mr. Kahn is a trial lawyer with particular expertise in the trademark, copyright, entertainment, libel, and First Amendment areas. His clients have included Oprah Winfrey, the National Basketball Association, McFarlane Toys, Eveready Battery Company and Mark McGwire.

Mr. Kahn is also an award-winning author of novels and short stories, including notably the Rachel Gold series of legal thrillers. His most recent novel, The Mourning Sexton, written under the nom de plume Michael Baron, was published in 2006.

Additionally, Mr. Kahn is an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law, teaching a course in censorship and First Amendment law.

He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School; his M.A. from Northwestern University; and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Amherst College.
