Dallas, Feb. 2, 2009 – LawFuel – Legal Announcements – Lekha Gopalakrishnan joined Winstead PC’s Dallas office from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a shareholder in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Dr. Gopalakrishnan’s extensive legal experience encompasses all areas of intellectual property law including patent procurement in chemical and biological disciplines, technology licensing, and litigation matters involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Her other professional experience includes postdoctoral research in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Additionally, Dr. Gopalakrishnan has co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific papers.
A member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Dr. Gopalakrishnan received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She also holds an M.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University Medical School.
