You may have heard of Houston lawyer John O’Quinn.

In past years, he has made millions going after America’s biggest industries: Tobacco, medicine and the airlines.

He has given away so much money that buildings in the city are named after him.

But now, a federal judge has given the downtown law firm O’Quinn founded — O’Quinn, Laminack, and Pirtle — given it not an honor, but a stinging reprimand.

The reason for the reprimand is related to some television ads.

The ads produced by what are called a screening companies, urged such workers to get screened, as supposedly seen in one ad that shows at a clinic set up in a motel in Mississippi.
