Jackson Lewis Diversifies Cyber Practice - Joins Data Security Group

WHITE PLAINS, NY (November 17, 2017) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Mary T. Costigan has joined the firm’s Morristown office as a member of the firm’s Privacy, e-Communication and Data Security Practice Group. Ms. Costigan holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional designation (US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Ms. Costigan began working for Jackson Lewis as an extern from Pace University Law School’s New Directions for Attorneys Program, with an emphasis on privacy. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mary worked with KPMG International as a Global Privacy Manager advising internal stakeholders and project teams on global data protection and privacy matters, with a concentration on software applications. Ms. Costigan started her career as a litigation associate in private practice and later became a senior litigator and advisor within the Massachusetts Department of Revenue in its Boston and New York City offices.

Ms. Costigan’s desire to return to legal work in the privacy area demonstrates the continued interest in cybersecurity and privacy issues and the surge in demand for expertise in this evolving space.
