Jeffry L. Weiler, of the law firm Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP, is the recipient of the Distinguished Estate Planner Award for 2004 presented by The Estate Planning Council of Cleveland. The Council is an organization of approximately 500 estate planning professionals including attorneys, accountants, bankers, financial planners and insurance advisors.

The award will be presented at a luncheon meeting on June 8, 2004 at the Union Club. The featured speaker will be Lee Hill, President and CEO of Downtown Cleveland Partnership. Past recipients of this award were P. Thomas Austin, J. Donald Cairns, and Robert Brucken.

Given annually, the award recognizes an individual for outstanding contribution in the field of estate planning. The recipient reflects the goals for which the Council was organized, that is to provide a better understanding of estate planning and services that estate planners can render to the general public, promote cooperation and fostering a better understanding among estate planning professionals, and furthering the education of the general public and members of the Council concerning estate planning.
