Jones Day welcomes Banking & Finance partner Maria Tan Pedersen in Hong Kong

August 2012 – LawFuel.com – Hong Kong –The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Maria Tan Pedersen has joined as a Banking & Finance Practice partner. Formerly a partner with K&L Gates, she will be based in the Firm’s Hong Kong Office.

Ms. Pedersen is an experienced international projects and commercial lawyer, with an extensive and diverse background in international and domestic transactions, financing, contracts, and arbitration, crossing multiple sectors and involving governmental, public, and private clients. She also has deep experience on matters involving the energy sector, both conventional and renewable, and will maintain a special focus on Southeast Asia and Greater China.

Ms. Pedersen received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. at U.C. Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law. She is admitted to the bars of District of Columbia and New York and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong. She is fluent in English and French.
