G. William Joyner III Joins Firm
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (December 4) LAWFUEL – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that G. William Joyner III has joined the firm’s Winston-Salem office as a partner. Mr. Joyner will be a member of the firm’s leading Corporate Department.

Mr. Joyner, formerly a partner at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, has a broadly based practice that includes general business and corporate law, private equity fund formation, venture capital and mezzanine financings, mergers and acquisitions and securities regulation. He has represented major limited partners in investments totaling more than $2 billion in private equity funds, and he also represents new and growing high technology and life sciences companies as well as established companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Joyner’s practice experience ranges from large transactions involving public companies to smaller transactions involving closely-held businesses. His transactional experience also includes technology transfer and licensing arrangements, and joint ventures and other affiliation relationships among companies in varied industries.
Mr. Joyner serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association in Forsyth County. For his outstanding leadership in the legal, business and civic communities, Mr. Joyner was named one of the Triad Business Journal’s “40 Leaders Under 40” in 2007.
Mr. Joyner earned his A.B. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. and J.D. (cum laude) from Wake Forest University.
