Kilpatrick Stockton Attorney John Livingston Earns Recognition as a LEED Accredited Professional

Livingston is one of only two LEED AP attorneys in Raleigh

RALEIGH (October 15) – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that attorney John Livingston has been accredited as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the United States Green Building Council (USBGC). Mr. Livingston is one of only two LEED AP attorneys in Raleigh and one of only nine in North Carolina.

The LEED Green Building Rating System is the widely accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. With this accreditation, Mr. Livingston joins a select group of attorneys nationwide who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System. As a LEED AP, Mr. Livingston will be able to advise clients on the regulatory requirements pertaining to green building and certification pursuant to the LEED Green Building Rating System and qualify LEED registered project earn one point toward certification, if a LEED AP is not otherwise on the design team.

John Livingston is an associate in the Financial Transactions, Real Estate, and Restructuring (FRE) Department of Kilpatrick Stockton’s Raleigh office. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate development, investment and leasing. Mr. Livingston has experience negotiating leases as well as representing developers. He earned his B.S. from the University of Florida, cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina Law School with High Honors.
