Kilpatrick Stockton LLP announced today that Partner Pete Brunstetter was named to Triad Business Journal’s prestigious “Triad’s Most Influential People” list. A member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Mr. Brunstetter practices law in the areas of business transactions, corporate and public finance, mergers and acquisitions, health care, and health care transactions.
The publication noted that among his many other accomplishments, “Long active civically and politically, Brunstetter has worked to bring Forsyth and Guilford counties together and to push forward economic development efforts.”
Mr. Brunstetter is greatly involved in Forsyth County matters, and has served on the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners for 13 years, including many of those years as Chairman.
His current memberships and activities include the North Carolina Bar Association (Health Law & Business Law Sections); American Health Lawyers Association; Forsyth County Board of Commissioners (Chairman); YMCAs of Northwest North Carolina (Chairman-Elect); Novant Health, Inc. (Chairman, Board of Trustees); North Carolina State Treasurer’s Advisory Committee on Public Finance (Member); Forsyth County Board of Advisors, Wachovia Bank of North Carolina (Member); and the Winston-Salem Business, Inc. (Board member).
Mr. Brunstetter was recently listed in the 2005-2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Health Care Law, Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Securities Law. He obtained his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He received a B.A. in political science from Tulane University.
