New York, April 15, 2009… Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that Brynn Peltz has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Peltz has a broad base of expertise advising financial institutions, private equity, real estate and hedge fund sponsors, alternative asset managers and registered investment companies with respect to all aspects of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Peltz has more than twenty years experience advising clients on matters including fund formation, registration and offering, structuring of financial products, adviser registration, compliance and other regulatory issues. She is among a very small set of practitioners globally with deep knowledge of exchange-traded funds and other structured wealth management products with fund characteristics. Her expertise also extends to mergers and acquisitions in the investment management sector.

Peltz joins Latham & Watkins from Clifford Chance. Prior to joining Clifford Chance, she practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP for seven years. Prior thereto, she served as Assistant General Counsel and Vice President in the investment management practice at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. She received her law degree from Cornell Law School in 1988 and a B.S. from Cornell University in 1985.
