Latham & Watkins went a step further in creating the leading global litigation team, with the arrival of Patrick Dunaud, Emmanuel Drai and Judith Vuillez at the Paris office. Dunaud, Drai and Vuillez join from Sokolow Dunaud Mercadier & Carreras, where they practiced complex cross-border business litigation.

With the arrival of this nine-lawyer team, Latham & Watkins Paris Litigation Department now has more than 50 lawyers, positioning it among the largest in the Paris market.

Highly regarded in the media & entertainment sector, the new team rounds out Latham & Watkins litigation capabilities, spanning both geography and practice. “Latham has been building both depth and diversity in its European litigation capability[1] – this team extends our suite of complex litigation expertise from media to general corporate, IP/IT to securities work,” said Olivier Delattre, Managing Partner of the Paris Office of Latham & Watkins.

Commenting on the development, Delattre said: “This underscores our focus and commitment to strengthening our Paris and European base. A power base that complements our unparalleled US litigation capabilities.”

“We are very pleased to join Latham & Watkins,” said Dunaud. “The excellence of the lawyers in the Litigation Department and the firm’s European exposure convinced us to join Latham through which we can continue the development of our professional practice.”

They are accompanied by six associates: Valentine Tassy, Bénédicte Michel, Alexandra Maingard, Cécile Angulo, Natacha Levine, Maxime de Guillenschmidt.
