Law Firm Announcements – Eversheds LLP strengthens pensions team

LawFuel – Legal Newswire Service – As part of the continued growth of Eversheds’ pensions law service, Ingrid Everson has been appointed to head up the 24-strong team of specialist lawyers in the firm’s Birmingham office.

Having been with the firm for 15 years, she returns to the Birmingham office after spending two years leading the pensions teams in the firm’s Leeds and Newcastle offices, where she built up a strong pensions presence across the Yorkshire & North East regions.

In her new role, Ingrid will be involved in advising companies, trustees and other professional advisers across the Midlands and nationally on a range of pensions work including scheme mergers and rationalisations, scheme conversions from defined benefit to defined contribution and hybrid schemes.

Ingrid picks up the role from Liz Fallon, who will now be devoting her time to enhancing the firm’s pensions presence at an international level.

Commenting on her appointment, Everson said:
“I am delighted to be retuning to the Birmingham office to head up the pensions team in what is a hugely dynamic pensions practice. The growth of the office over the last 12 months and the calibre of people on the team means that we are able to support local and international businesses and trustees on the full range of pensions issues.
“There are four partners alone in the Birmingham team and all have a vast amount of pensions experience. The depth of expertise and the knowledge available means that we are able to build on our national strategic offering, so that our clients will continue to enjoy the excellent client service we deliver through our integrated office network.”

Eversheds has one of the most comprehensive pensions law services in the UK, with more than 50 specialist lawyers advising on public and private sector schemes across the network.
