Law Professor Challenges for Supreme Court Position – Supreme Court News – A law professor who plans on getting into the ballot for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race has already turned in signatures to run against state Supreme Court Justice Patience Roggensack who delivered around 4000 signaures on her nomination, compared to 3200 for her challenger.

Marquette Law Professor Ed Fallone hopes to get his place on the ballot for the Supreme Court race on April 2.

Also five Republicans submitted paperwork to run for the Assembly in a special election this spring to replace Paul Farrow, who was elected to the state Senate in December.

Milwaukee’s Attorney Vince Megna reports submitting 2,214 signatures.

If all three have met the Wednesday deadline for returning at least 2,000 valid signatures to the Government Accountability Board, there will be a primary on February 19. If there are two or fewer candidates, the race will proceed directly to the general election in early April.
