LAWFUEL – Lead Story – The woman in the center of an alleged Washington prostitution racket says she is not shy about revealing new names and said no deal would be done with federal prosecutors.

A Justice Department prosecutor, lobbyists and military officials are among the clients of a Vallejo woman accused of a running a prostitution ring in the nation’s capital, ABC News reported Friday night in a highly anticipated program resulting from its analysis of phone records of the alleged “D.C. Madam.”

On the network’s “20/20” program, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, 50, said she is identifying prominent clients of her escort service — with the help of ABC News — because neither she nor they did anything wrong. Although no new names were divulged, Palfrey pledged not to accept any deal from federal prosecutors.

“I sure as heck am not going to be going to federal prison for one day, let alone, you know, four to eight years here, because I’m shy about bringing in the deputy secretary of whatever,” Palfrey told reporter Brian Ross. “Not for a second. I’ll bring every last one of them in if necessary.”

Washington has been abuzz about the ABC News report because of the expectation that Palfrey would be naming names as part of her defense against charges of racketeering and conspiracy. The network said Friday that Palfrey handed over several hundred pages of phone records detailing about 30,000 phone calls from 2002 to late 2006.
