LAWFUEL – Legal Issues – Paris Hilton to Angelina Jolie – See ‘Hot Gossip’ – We’re all used to stars and their legal agreements – aren’t we? – but when Angelina Jolie was interviewed over her role as the wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, in the movie “A Mighty Heart”, she asked reporters to sign a particularly unusual agreement. It was nothing to do with adoption, but rather something preventing them from asking personal questions and specifically “The interview may only be used to promote the Picture. In no event may Interviewer or Media Outlet be entitled to run all or any portion of the interview in connection with any other story.” And, “the interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning or derogatory to Ms. Jolie.” Most news outlets reportedly declined to sign the document.
