LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference will take place in St Petersburg, Russia on 3 – 4 April 2006 at the Grand Hotel Europe. The conference is jointly organised by the Anglo-Russian Law Association, the Panel of Independent Mediators and SJ Berwin LLP with support from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Russian Chamber of Commerce.
The two day event will focus on issues of Mediation (Day 1) and Arbitration (Day 2). The event will feature high-profile speakers from Russia and the West and include the Rt Hon Lord Justice Rix, Michel Kallipetis QC, Arthur Marriott QC, David Shapiro and others. Topics of the conference will include the following: deal mediation; corruption – mediation and arbitration compared; mediation advocacy; mediation training; international arbitration – yesterday, today and tomorrow; investment arbitration; provisional measures in arbitrations.
