LAWFUEL – The Law Newswire – International law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP has agreed to give pro bono advice to the review panel Governor Tim Kain created to look into the April 16 massacre at Virginia Tech.
W. Gerald Massengill, chairman of the panel, said today he has been talking to lawyers with the company for the past week. Massengill said the state attorney general’s office had been advising the panel, but because the office was also advising state police and Virginia Tech, Attorney General Bob McDonnell and Gov. Timothy M. Kaine decided to accept the law firm’s offer of free help for the panel.
