LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – A federal judge on Thursday lifted bail for bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and his two associates.

Chapman had been free on $300,000 bail while the Mexican government tried to prosecute him for catching fugitive serial rapist Andrew Luster there.

Those charges were recently dropped. Chapman is still not completely free because the Mexican prosecutor may appeal.

The reality star, who lives in Hawaii, is currently on a national book-signing tour with his wife Beth.

The book is No. 1 on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction list.

The couple is scheduled to return to the islands at the end of August with more book signings.
