Patricia Gillette co-chaired Heller’s Labor and Employment Practice Group for many years. Her practice encompasses all aspects of employment law, focusing on wrongful discharge and discrimination litigation in both state and federal court. She has extensive jury trial experience. Her clients include major financial institutions, high tech firms, insurance companies, biotech companies and others. Gillette is also the co-founder of the Opt In Project, a nationwide cross-industry initiative dedicated to finding ways to retain and advance women in the legal profession. She will continue her leadership role on this project and other similar initiatives already in place at Orrick. Gillette is a frequent lecturer nationwide on issues relating to the retention and advancement of women in law firms.
