Legal Announcements – New Chief Legal Recruiting and Development Officer Joins Bryan Cave LLP

ST. LOUIS, January 29, 2008 – LAWFUEL – Law Firm Announcements – Thomas A. Grewe has joined the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP as chief legal recruiting and development officer.

“In this newly created role, Tom Grewe will work closely with the Professional Resources Committee, Strategic Growth Team and lateral hiring partner to ensure that Bryan Cave’s recruiting and lateral hiring strategies align with the firm’s overall growth strategy,” said Steven Kornblau, a partner in the firm and the firm’s Co-Chair of Professional Resources. “Tom’s experience will be instrumental in our efforts to increase the firm’s depth and strength across all practice areas on both national and international levels.”

Grewe’s career is focused on professional development and legal recruiting. Throughout his career he has worked with recruiting, lateral hiring, diversity, and training committees inside law firms to direct and analyze the effectiveness of recruiting and professional development programs. He regularly provides guidance to attorneys regarding their professional growth and assists attorneys in developing action plans to accomplish their goals. In addition, Grewe has developed and analyzed systems for reporting compensation, hours, profitability and performance for a broad range of law firms.

Grewe has been an active member of NALP, The Association for Legal Career Professionals, since 1999 and has held a number of leadership positions within the organization, including GLBT Committee Chair and Chair of the Solomon Amendment Task Force. He is also a member of the Professional Development Consortium, the Association of Legal Administrators, and the NALP Foundation Professional Development Research Panel.

Grewe received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1990 from Northeastern Illinois University and later studied social work at the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois at Chicago.
