London – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Barclays Capital has signed a global deal with Computacenter for the provision of IT desktop services to Barclays Capital’s operations throughout the world.

DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary (“DLA Piper”) partner, Mark Crichard, and assistant Hinal Patel acted for Barclays Capital. They worked closely with in-house Barclays Capital counsel, Rod Martin and the Barclays Capital commercial team, on the negotiation and documentation of this deal.

The contract is for the provision of standardised IT desktop support, disposal and reseller services to all Barclays Capital sites, providing the platform for the provision of improved IT desktop services with faster delivery of hardware and support.
Mark Crichard, technology partner at DLA Piper, said: “This was a significant deal for Barclays Capital which was negotiated and concluded in a very short time. The standardised services around the world should enable the Bank’s IT function to effectively support the Bank’s expansion.

“DLA Piper was delighted to be able to assist the Barclays Capital team to bring these negotiations to a successful conclusion.”
