Luce Forward Hires Christina Morgan to Expand its Services to Residential Developers

SAN DIEGO (February 21, 2012) –Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, one of California’s leading real estate law firms, announced today the hiring of Christina Morgan who will join the firm’s prominent Common Interest Development group. Morgan’s capabilities make Luce Forward one of the few law firms in California to offer in-house Department of Real Estate (DRE) consultation, and enhance its other existing services to residential developers and its DRE subdivision processing support. Morgan’s hire comes just weeks prior to Luce Forward’s anticipated merger with McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP on March 1. The combination of firms will result in one of largest real estate practice groups in California.

As part of Luce Forward’s Common Interest Development, Morgan will coordinate and process applications for public reports with the State of California DRE, while her long experience in the title industry will further enhance the Real Estate Acquisitions team. As the residential real estate market continues to improve, Morgan will assist Luce Forward’s home builder clients – both local and national – with navigating through the complex DRE process helping to increase overall efficiency and coordination for the firm’s clients.

“Luce Forward’s reputable real estate group is now even stronger thanks to the addition of Christina,” said Kurt L. Kicklighter, Luce Forward’s Managing Partner. “She brings with her a unique skill set not typically found within a law firm, and therefore offering added value to our existing client services. We welcome Christina to our team and look forward to benefiting from her experience.”

Morgan has more than 15 years of experience in the building industry and nine years of DRE experience. Prior to joining Luce Forward she was the lead real estate consultant in the building services division of Chicago Title Company where she serviced Orange, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Riverside Counties. She has experience working with national and local home builders on communities throughout California including Del Sur, 4S Ranch, La Costa, Otay Ranch, San Elijo Hills, Audie Murphy Ranch and Civita master planned communities. Her clients included Standard Pacific Homes, Pardee Homes, Brookfield Homes, Shea Homes, and William Lyon Homes.

Luce Forward’s Common Interest Development practice group is the largest of its kind in California. It specializes in all aspects of residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial projects, and DRE regulatory matters, managing every stage of the development process.
