Mayer Brown strengthens London Banking & Finance practice with partner hire

London, 22 March 2011- Leading global law firm Mayer Brown announced the hire of senior asset finance partner Stuart McAlpine as part of its continued growth plans for London Banking & Finance. The hire will also enhance the Firm’s global asset and project finance capabilities.

Stuart joins from Orrick where he was a partner in their Global Finance Group. His deal experience also encompasses leasing, commodities financing and export credit structures. Stuart McAlpine said: “Mayer Brown JSM’s high quality Asian asset finance practice combined with the global firm’s overall strength in banking and finance give me a great opportunity to take my practice to the next level and to help put Mayer Brown firmly among the top drawer asset finance firms in the market. I am immensely excited by this opportunity.”
