McKool Smith Adds Three Experienced Attorneys in Austin

AUSTIN (LAWFUEL) – McKool Smith, PC, one of the country’s leading intellectual property and commercial litigation trial firms, is expanding its Austin offices with the addition of three experienced attorneys.

Joining the firm are senior counsel Trent E. Campione and associates Victoria L. Wicken and Ramzi R. Khazen. All three come to McKool Smith from the Austin office of Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Mr. Campione’s practice focuses on patent litigation and counseling in the high-tech electrical and computer industries. Licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he has extensive experience in patent portfolio development, IP licensing and trade secret matters.

Mr. Campione earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas.

Ms. Wicken has experience handling complex commercial litigation for a variety of companies, including work in the pharmaceutical and banking industries. She previously worked as a judge advocate for the United States Army, where she handled cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, advised officials on legal matters and issued legal opinions on a diverse range of legal topics.

Ms. Wicken graduated with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to law school, she was a National Merit Scholar and earned her bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston.

Mr. Khazen’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling, particularly in patent matters involving electrical, computer, and medical device technologies. Mr. Khazen has represented major clients in patent cases in the International Trade Commission as well as various United States district courts and is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Khazen is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
