MIAMI – LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs Network – The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that Enrique J. Martin has re-joined its Miami office as a shareholder in the Global Practice Group. Most recently, Martin served as a partner with Hunton & Williams.

Martin focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures as well as domestic and foreign issuer securities offerings and venture capital transactions. He regularly counsels clients in connection with their general corporate and financing matters and he is regularly engaged to handle complex international business transactions.

Martin had previously been with Greenberg Traurig for approximately nine years serving as counsel to firm clients, including Telefónica and other multinational clients in connection with numerous cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. Most recently, one of Martin’s better known representations involved Seisint, Inc. in connection with its auction sale to Lexis-Nexis for a purchase price of $775 million, one of the largest private M&A transactions in Florida. Martin received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992 and his B.S. in finance, cum laude, from Florida State University.

In the past five years, Greenberg Traurig has participated in M&A activities worth billions of dollars throughout Latin America and Spain. The Latin America Practice Group includes the former Chief Justice of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization; lawyers who are fluent in Spanish and Portuguese; and the former chief legal officers of major multinational corporations. Greenberg Traurig is recognized by Latin Lawyer and Chambers and Partners Global Guide as having one of the leading Latin American practices in the United States.
