Michael S. Greco and R. Charles Miller, partners with the national law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (“K&L”), have been elected to the American Law Institute (ALI). With a membership limited to about 3,500, lawyers are selected to join the prestigious Institute on the basis of professional achievement and demonstrated interest in law improvement. Members participate in ALI projects that enhance the law and its administration, including restatements, proposed codifications, model acts and legal studies. Greco’s and Miller’s election brings the number of K&L’s active members in ALI to 21.

Greco, a partner in K&L’s Boston office, is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of litigation experience in complex business disputes and other cases, arbitration and mediation. In recent years he has served as arbitrator or mediator in complex disputes including business, professional sports, intellectual property and computer software cases in which the damages have exceeded $100 million.

Miller, the Administrative Partner of K&L’s Washington office, focuses his practice on the federal securities laws, principally in the area of investment management. He has special expertise concerning the operation and distribution of mutual funds and in representing investment advisers and their affiliates.
