—Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that Peter Sternberg has joined its New York office as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice group. Sternberg is a former partner at Jones Day.
Sternberg will continue to focus his practice on international transactions. He has significant experience in U.S./European cross-border mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He represents European and U.S. clients with emphasis on transactions involving France and Italy. Sternberg has also been active in several notable multi-jurisdictional disputes, including arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce.
Commenting on Sternberg’s arrival, Ralph Baxter, Orrick’s chairman and CEO, said, “Peter’s broad-based corporate practice and international focus is a great strategic fit for Orrick as we continue to expand our European presence.” Orrick currently has approximately 100 lawyers in Europe, with offices in Paris, London, Rome and Milan.
