November 18, 2004 – LAWFUEL – Law firm, legal, attorney news – Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that the former Citigroup lawyer, Dianna M. Nixon, has returned to the firm’s New York office as Of Counsel. A member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice, Nixon will represent lenders, sellers, landlords, tenants and potential acquisition candidates and investors in connection with acquisitions and dispositions, financings, leasing, management, joint ventures and limited liability transactions.

“Dianna will provide a comprehensive mixture of business and legal expertise in servicing our international and domestic real estate clients,”said David Furman, New York Real Estate partner.

Prior to joining the firm, Nixon was at Citigroup for approximately four years, most recently as Counsel with the Corporate Law Department – Real Estate and Corporate Operations responsible for nationwide legal support for a variety of Citigroup entities and business units. Her practice areas included real estate, insurance and general corporate law. Nixon focused on acquisitions, dispositions, renovations, operation and management of space . She also provided advice on corporate policies. During her stint, she also served as Deputy General Counsel to Citigroup International Trade Indemnity, Inc., which underwrites comprehensive trade credit and political risk insurance covering international trade transactions.

From 1998 to 2000, Nixon was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, representing foreign and domestic corporate clients, institutional lenders and borrowers and private equity investors. She was also previously an associate at Shearman & Sterling, where she practiced from 1995 to 1998. Nixon earned her law degree cum laude in 1995 from Howard University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in New York.
