NZ Law - Minters Lawyer Appointed President of RMLAMinterEllisonRuddWatts Partner Rachel Devine has been appointed president of the Association of Resource Management Practitioners (RMLA) following the resignation recently of James Gardner-Hopkins.

In a release from Minters today, the firm said –

Rachel brings 22 years’ experience in environment law to the role, including her experience advising private and public sector clients on matters including major industrial and infrastructure projects and assisting government departments on implementing Ministerial agendas, such as reform of the Resource Management Act.

On accepting her appointment, Rachel said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent our broad membership base and promote best practice in the implementation of environmental policy, planning and law, through education, debate and commentary. In particular, as a National Committee, we’re looking at ways to enhance the profile of our specialists, provide more support for regional activities, and emphasise the quality publications that we produce.”
