On September 1, 2003, the international law firms of McDermott, Will & Emery and Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato signed an agreement to combine their practices. As a result of this agreement McDermott, Will & Emery will now have 14 offices around the world with five
European offices, in Dusseldorf, London, Milan, Munich and Rome.

In Italy, the firm will operate under the name McDermott, Will & Emery/Carnelutti Studio
Legale Associato. Carnelutti’s 100+ year tradition of excellence offers
clients access to a full service practice in Italy and further anchors
McDermott, Will & Emery in the European and Italian markets.
Luca Arnaboldi, Carnelutti’s Managing Partner, will serve as Partner-in-
Charge of Italy; and Marino Bastianini, Carnelutti’s Chairman, will serve as
Senior Partner.
