Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Dan Mummery has joined the firm’s Palo Alto office as a partner. Mummery will continue to focus his law practice on complex outsourcing and technology transactions.

About Dan Mummery
Mummery focuses his practice on representing clients on a wide range of legal and business issues relating to complex outsourcing and technology transactions, including structuring, negotiating and documenting large-scale business process (BPO) and information technology outsourcing (ITO) transactions, handling complex licensing and software and systems implementations, technology-based strategic alliances and joint ventures, as well as advising on emerging company and venture capital representations. His ITO experience covers the outsourcing of every IT function, including infrastructure, applications development and maintenance, end-user computing, help desk and network operations. His BPO experience ranges from the outsourcing of finance and accounting, human resources and back office functions to logistics procurement operations.
He has worked with companies in a broad range of industries. He has handled engagements for AT&T, Blue Shield of California, Charles Schwab, Chevron Texaco, Clorox, Continental Airlines, DuPont, Gateway, General Motors, Levi Strauss, Miller Brewing Company, Ryder, Symantec, Tenet Healthcare and United Airlines.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mummery practiced with the Silicon Valley office of Latham & Watkins LLP. He began his career as an associate and then as a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. He received his law degree in 1988 from Fordham University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Fordham Urban Law Journal.
