Reina is an accomplished lawyer, currently working at the Royal Commission of Inquiry: Abuse in Care. Prior to that she worked at the Public Defence Service – New Zealand in Manukau, South Auckland. Reina hopes to use this opportunity to develop her trial skills through this Programme.

In addition to her legal roles, Reina is an author and freelance journalist, and earlier this year was named as 1 of 35 Obama Foundation Asia Pacific Leaders.

Shortland Chambers offers one annual #scholarship enabling a member of the PLA to attend the NZLS CLE Litigation Skills Programme. The scholarship covers the entire Programme fee and is aimed at Pacific lawyers looking to support and encourage the legal needs of their respective communities and to promote and support initiatives of relevance to Pacific peoples. We thank Shortland Chambers for its continued support of the PLA and its members.
