Reed Smith LLP has named Rhona Kisch, formerly of Mintz, Levin, Cohen, Ferris, Globsky & Popeo, a new partner in its New York City Real Estate Practice Group. Ms. Kisch represents clients in real estate, communications, corporate and bankruptcy matters, with a focus on the convergence of real estate and communications issues. She also has performed significant work in private equity placements, public offerings and related securities matters and traveled extensively in Asia, Europe and Central America.

“Rhona’s experience with the leasing, sale, purchase and financing of rooftop antennas and switch facilities, as well as with broadband wiring and collocation agreements significantly bolsters our ability to provide support to this increasingly active real estate niche,” said Jonathan Young, New York City managing partner. “Her experience in the securities arena will also be valuable to us moving forward. She’s a great match for this market, this practice and our firm.”

A 1991 graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, Ms. Kisch received an undergraduate degree in journalism cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 1997, she earned a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College. She is admitted to practice in both New York and California and expects to routinely handle legal matters in both states for the firm.
