LAWFUEL – Legal Announcements & Law Jobs – The Ku Klux Klan campaign contribution to presidential candidate Ron Paul will not be returned by Dr Paul, the candidate who continues to shatter fund-raising records.
The $500 donation from Don Black, a Florida resident who said he supports Paul’s opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens and his strong desire to end the U.S. war in Iraq.
It is perhaps an unwritten rule in politics that money received from someone controversial is returned because of what they do or say, someone with views repugnant to most Americans.
Dr Paul’s view is that money is money and he can do more good with it than Black can do harm.
Paul spokesman Jesse Benton was reported as saying Paul’s campaign does not monitor donors, nor does it return money to controversial characters.
