The corporate finance team at leading law firm Charles Russell has advised Canaccord Capital (Europe) Limited on the largest AIM listing so far this year.

Partner Clive Hopewell led the Charles Russell team, along with associate Adam Dowdney and assistant Dominic Keenan, in the listing of NETeller plc which was admitted on to AIM today (14 April).

The Charles Russell team also advised Durlacher Limited as joint brokers, as well as Canaccord who were broker and nominated adviser.

NETeller is an online money transfer service that provides a secure means of transferring funds worldwide with particular expertise in the online gaming sector. The listing raised £30million for NETeller and £5 million for selling shareholders, and the company was valued at £250 million.

Berwin Leighton Paisner (David Collins, Murdoch Currie, Jonathan Lockyer and Hilary Stewart-Jones) and Cains Advocates Limited (Andrew Baker) of the Isle of Man, advised NETeller.

The listing is the largest on AIM so far in 2004, and follows Charles Russell advising Bema Gold Corporation to become the second-largest company on AIM when it listed in September 2003 with a market capitalisation of £500 million.

The latest listing underlines Charles Russell’s reputation as one of the leading advisers on the AIM market.
