The international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke LLP announced today that it has refocused its oil, gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) practice. The move comes in order to take advantage of new opportunities arising from global industry developments.
These developments include the rapid changes taking place in Russia and elsewhere in the CIS, efforts to monetize global gas reserves and the renewed interest in LNG in the Americas, as well as the potential for changes in the Middle East following the war in Iraq and the introduction of the Road Map to peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
Building on Chadbourne’s existing experience in virtually all aspects of the oil and gas industry, the practice will now bring together specialists in the Firm’s internationally renowned project finance group and top-tier Russia and CIS practice group that have extensive oil and gas transactional and regulatory energy experience.
The practice will operate as a cohesive unit across the Firm’s international network of offices, enabling the group to provide services to clients’ oil and gas operations around the globe. Key members of this newly refocused practice group include partners Noam Ayali and David K. Schumacher in Washington, partners Laura M. Brank and Shane R. DeBeer and counsel Patrick B. Seferovich in Moscow, partners Nabil L. Khodadad and Paul Weber in London, partner Andrea N. Satty and counsel Daniel R. Rogers in Houston, and partner Chaim Wachsberger in New York.
