Tokyo – 14 September 2004LAWFUEL – Best for law news, legal research, law, attorney news, litigation news – International law firm Clifford Chance has
announced that Michelle Mizutani has joined the firm’s Tokyo office,
Clifford Chance Tanaka Akita & Nakagawa, as Senior Associate with the
Litigation and Dispute Resolution (L&DR) practice, effective 1st September
2004.

Michelle has been working as a lawyer in Tokyo for over four years and has a
wide range of general litigation experience. Most recently, she was a
Senior Solicitor with the Disputes Division at Herbert Smith in Tokyo where
her work involved assisting clients in active disputes (litigation and
arbitration) and providing detailed advice to clients in order to prevent or
settle disputes. Michelle is admitted to practice law in England & Wales
and Australia and speaks Japanese. She also holds a postgraduate diploma
(with distinction) in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Queen
Mary College, University of London and is actively involved in the East Asia
Branch Japan Subcommittee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Michelle will focus on supporting the firm’s L&DR practice, in particular,
assisting Japanese corporations with disputes in the region and the rest of
the world, as well as foreign corporations in relation to their disputes in
Japan.
