Bhandari was a partner at Sidley Austin LLP in Los Angeles.

Bhandari’s practice focuses on internal investigations and the defense of individuals and companies faced with government investigations or enforcement actions; corporate governance, including the design and implementation of corporate compliance programs; and complex business litigation, including matters involving antitrust, intellectual property, securities, and unfair competition law.

“We are delighted to have Sanjay join our Investigations and Business Crime practice,” said Charles H. Bhandari twice received one of the highest honors in the U.S. Department of Justice, the Director’s Award, in 2001 and 2006.

“Sanjay is an accomplished trial lawyer, with numerous white collar cases and investigations under his belt,” said Ali M.M. Mojdehi, Managing Partner of the Firm’s San Diego office. “Sanjay’s commitment to uncompromising excellence and his distinctive background enhances our ability to address client imperatives in complicated regulatory environments.”

Bhandari received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1991 and received his law degree from Cornell Law School in 1995, where he was an editor of the Cornell Law Review. After law school, he served as a law clerk for United States District Judge Napoleon A. Jones, Jr. in San Diego.
