WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 20, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Holland & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that 28 attorneys in the firm were recently elected to the partnership for 2006, according to Howell W. Melton, Jr., the firm’s managing partner. Four associates and five senior counsel from the firm’s Washington, D.C. office were elevated to partner status. They include:

Christopher Camarra, a member of the firm’s Real Estate Section, focuses his practice in commercial real estate financing, acquisitions, sales, and office and retail leasing. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1994 from Boston College and his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1998.

Steven Dube, a member of the firm’s Real Estate Section, focuses his practice on the development of residential, commercial and mixed-use condominium and cooperative regimes, as well as the financing, acquisition and sales of real property. He earned his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in 1988 and his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1998.

Dirk Haire, a member of the firm’s Litigation Section, practices in the areas of construction law and government contracts, representing owners and contractors in virtually all phases of both the public and private sectors of the construction industry. He earned his B.A., cum laude, in 1990 from Ball State University and his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1993.

Lloyd Jordan, a member of the firm’s Government Section, practices in the area of public law focusing on matters involving municipal and regulatory entities, real estate, business organizational transactions and insurance law. He received his B.S. from Washington University in 1977 and his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law in 1981. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Missouri and Illinois

Rafe Petersen, a member of the firm’s Government Section, practices primarily in the areas of environmental compliance and litigation, with an emphasis on the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act and resource issues. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Hobart College in 1992 and his J.D. with honors from George Washington University Law School in 1997.

Paul E. Pompeo, a member of the firm’s Litigation Section, practices in the area of government contracts law. He counsels on the full spectrum of government contracts law, with a focus on the areas of cost allowability and the Cost Accounting Standards. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, in 1985 from the State University of New York at Albany, his J.D. from Catholic University of America in 1988, and his LL.M from George Washington University in 1991.

Leo Rydzewski, a member of the firm’s Litigation Section, concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property, media and real estate litigation. He received his B.A. in 1990 from Georgetown University and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 1996.

Lisa Tofil, a member of the firm’s Government Section, focuses her practice on federal relations and policy in health care, transportation and education issues. She earned her B.A. in 1987 from the University of Vermont and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1996.

Hongjun Zhang, a member of the firm’s Business Section, is a Chinese law specialist working with Holland & Knight attorneys to advise clients on successful government relations and regulatory, market access, investment, and trade strategies in China and other Asian jurisdictions. He received his B.S. in 1986 and his Ph.D of law in 1998 from Peking University, and his LL.M in 2000 from Harvard Law School.
