WASHINGTON, DC (December 4) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today the addition of John Howell as Deputy Director for Government Affairs within the Government Relations practice group. Mr. Howell brings nearly two decades of government experience to the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Following eight years of military service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Howell has spent the past eight years in government handling and managing special projects involving various U.S. agencies including the Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Department of Defense. Given the complex nature of government affairs issues dealing with both the military and intelligence communities, his unique experience will provide the firm’s clients with perspectives and a caliber of representation not traditionally available in the government affairs community. Mr. Howell, a Fulbright Scholar, is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and Davidson College.
While Mr. Howell will be handling a variety of client matters, his focus will be working with companies in the defense and intelligence arenas, as well as with other companies engaged in international business.
