WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 2004 LAWFUEL – Best law news, attorney, legal, legal research resource Wallace Henderson, former chief of
staff to two prominent congressional leaders, has joined the Government
Affairs practice in Loeffler Jonas & Tuggey LLP’s (LJT) Washington, D.C.
office as Of Counsel. Managing Partner Tim Tuggey made the announcement.

Mr. Henderson brings 25 years of experience in both the private and public
sectors to his new position. He has served as a congressional chief of staff
and committee staff director, legal counsel, consultant, trade association
executive, state agency head and state legislative committee counsel.

“His versatility and familiarity with issues concerning both federal and
state government represent unique value to our clients,” said LJT founder and
chairman, and former Congressman Tom Loeffler (R-TX).

Prior to joining LJT, Mr. Henderson was Vice President of Congressional
Affairs for the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, the
principal body representing wireless carriers before Congress and regulatory
agencies. He also worked on federal and state legislative initiatives as a
private consultant, and represented clients as a partner in the Washington
office of a Louisiana law firm specializing in telecommunication, energy and
environmental matters.

In public service at the federal level, Mr. Henderson directed the offices
of two of Washington’s most prominent lawmakers. He served as Chief Counsel
and as Chief of Staff to Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman W.J. “Billy”
Tauzin (R-LA) and as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator John Breaux (D-LA). He
also was Staff Director of the House Merchant Marine Committee’s Outer
Continental Shelf and Panama Canal Subcommittee.

In state government, Henderson was Secretary to the Louisiana State
Mineral Board, with jurisdiction over the leasing of all state lands and water
bottoms, Assistant Secretary to the Louisiana Office of Mineral Resources, and
Counsel to the Louisiana Legislature and the Governor’s Office of Consumer
Protection.

“It is our view that LJT clients will benefit enormously by Wallace
joining our Government Affairs Group. He has a unique ability to identify the
importance of public policy deliberations to client interests,” said Julie
Domenick, Managing Principal of LJT’s Washington office.

Henderson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from McNeese State University
and a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Law. He
served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969.

Domenick said that Henderson will work out of the D.C. office, but also
will spend time with LJT clients in the Austin and San Antonio offices.
