Top law firm in the world is a lofty achievement and the award this year goes to . . . White & Case
The Law360 global awards provides the top 20 rankings for firms that have the broadest global reach, a somewhat nebulous factor perhaps but one that has seen the NYC-based White & Case add another notch to its already impressive belt, including recent pro bono successes with their major work for the people of Flint, Michigan in the water quality litigation.
On the pro bono front, columnist David Lash wrote ” If pro bono work is our profession’s highest calling, White & Case’s pro bono protection of the health and safety of children is the most meaningful example of why that is so true.”
So a major global law award on that basis alone is well deserved.
Next in the Law360 ranking was Allen & Overy, followed by DLA Piper, Freshfields, Herbert Smith Freehills and Norton Rose.
