WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-June 15, 2005- LAWFUEL – The Law News Network -Steven M. Silverberg and Kathy Zalantis have announced they have left a 700+ national law firm to form Silverberg Zalantis, LLP, at 3 Barker Avenue in White Plains, New York.
The firm will have four attorneys: two partners, one associate, and one of counsel. “Our goal is to leverage technology in order to provide clients the high quality one-on-one service and attention every client deserves,” said Silverberg.

The lawyers’ services include securing approval for developers; working with municipalities and individuals on projects ranging from minor variances to permits for telecommunication facilities and working on major subdivisions and site plans for office parks, shopping centers and housing developments. Other areas the lawyers serve are municipal law, commercial law (business formation) and employment law, including sexual harassment.

Steven Silverberg is Planning and Zoning Attorney for the Town of Haverstraw; he is a director of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation and speaks frequently for the Rockland Municipal Planning Federation.

He frequently lectures and writes on zoning and land use topics, including the “hot” topic of religious land use and institutionalized persons act.

Partner Kathy Zalantis concentrates her practice on zoning, land use, municipal, real estate and commercial law. She has extensive litigation experience in all these areas in both the New York State and Federal courts. She was also a partner at her former firm.

Linda Gironda, an associate with the new firm, will be working on commercial and land use litigation. She brings to the firm 16 years of business experience as well as litigation experience with a big firm. Linda resides in Yorktown where she is on the Board of Trustees of the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak.

Deborah Pagnotta is of counsel to the firm where she is responsible for the employment law practice.

“Steve and I have worked together for more than four years,” said Kathy. “We have attained a large measure of success for our clients, which range from telecom companies to not-for-profits and from municipalities to individuals. We look forward to continuing along this path together,” said the attorney.
