3 October – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Ex-NFL star TIMMY SMITH, age 41, of Denver, will make his initial appearance in federal court this afternoon on drug distribution charges. SMITH is scheduled to appear in federal Magistrate Judge Patricia A. Coan’s courtroom at the U.S. District Courthouse, located at 901 19th Street, on 5th floor (Courtroom A501), in Denver at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon. He will be advised of the charges pending against him.
TIMMY SMITH, and his brother, CHRIS SMITH, age 35, of Lakewood, are charged with intentionally possessing with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. If convicted the defendants face not less than 5 years, and not more than 40 years in federal prison, and/or a $2,000,000 fine.
The charges are only allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
