Milwaukee – Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that the firm has been presented with the prestigious 2006 Drucilla Stender Ramey Award by the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP) in recognition of its strong and ongoing commitment to diversity.
The annual award is designed to honor an organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the legal profession and enhancing opportunities for attorneys of color. The award, named after the longtime executive director of the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) and one of the co-founders of the CMCP, is presented to the majority-owned law firm member of the organization that has demonstrated the strongest commitment to diversity.
Foley received the award at the CMCP Awards Luncheon at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco.
Among the indicators of Foley’s diversity commitment recognized by CMCP are the numbers of ethnically diverse partners and leaders in the firm. CMCP also was impressed by the active participation of Foley lawyers in planning and presenting CMCP programs designed to expand

opportunities for diverse law students and attorneys generally, as well as the firm’s significant financial and human resource investment in promoting diversity internally by, for example, establishing a professionally staffed Diversity Business Department.
