NEW YORK — Fenwick announced today that Roger Cohen has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office and healthcare regulatory practice.
“For our life sciences and technology clients, regulatory considerations are central to the work we do,” said Fenwick Chair Richard Dickson. “Roger strengthens the comprehensive support we provide as those clients navigate an ever-evolving healthcare landscape that requires counsel with precision and judgment. We’re excited to welcome him to Fenwick.”
Working closely with the firm’s corporate, intellectual property, and litigation teams, Cohen will advise healthcare services, life sciences, healthtech, and investor clients throughout their lifecycles. His practice spans healthcare transactions, regulatory and strategic counseling, and emerging areas of digital health and artificial intelligence.
“Roger knows how to translate healthcare regulatory requirements into practical guidance for companies and investors,” said Corporate Chair Alan Smith. “Whether a client is structuring a transaction, developing a new business model, or responding to government scrutiny, his experience will help our teams anticipate challenges and address them earlier.”
In addition to his counseling and transactional work, Cohen also has a strong record representing clients in government investigations and healthcare litigation, with a reputation for resolving disputes without enforcement action, and dismissals in significant healthcare fraud cases before trial.
“The most consequential decisions healthcare and life sciences companies make rarely fall within a single area of law,” Cohen said. “Fenwick brings together deep technology and life sciences experience with a collaborative approach to client service. I’m excited to join a team that understands the broader business context and helps clients move forward with confidence.”
Cohen’s arrival builds on Fenwick’s growth in New York and other key markets. Earlier this year, the firm welcomed patent litigation partner Krishnan (KP) Padmanabhan and corporate partner Alexander Rea in New York, and patent litigation partner Scott Border and congressional investigations counsel Anna Uhls in Washington, D.C.
