AUGUSTA (October 27) – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Kilpatrick Stockton’s Augusta office announced today that it raised over $2,800 for University Hospital’s Breast Health Center’s fifth annual Miracle Mile Walk benefiting the center’s breast cancer patients. This marked the third year that the Augusta office has participated in raising money for the Miracle Mile Walk through both fundraisers leading up to the walk and walker donations.
In addition to participating in the three-mile Miracle Mile Walk, Kilpatrick Stockton served as a $2,500 corporate sponsor making the firm’s total contribution $5,300. As this is the only community walk sponsored directly by University Hospital, 100 percent of the net proceeds went towards breast cancer care for the center’s patients.
University’s Breast Health Center, designed especially for women, operates under the philosophy “care with dignity” in a nurturing environment. Through the center, women receive breast health education, timely diagnostic testing, emotional support and coordinated care. The center also provides free mammograms to women who meet the requirements.
