Mary Technology (“Mary”), the AI software for investigating the facts of a legal matter, today announced a connector for Claude, Anthropic’s AI model. Lawyers can now investigate complex factual questions in Claude, drawing on the matter’s documents and the work their team has already done in Mary.
Law firms are adopting AI across several platforms, and many move between them as the market changes. The factual work on a matter lives in Mary, is reviewed by lawyers, and travels to whichever tool the team uses. A firm that adds or changes AI platforms keeps everything it has already learned about the case.
Mary reads and maps a matter’s documents before the first question is asked. Through the connector, lawyers working in Claude can assess the evidence for and against individual allegations, test witness accounts against contemporaneous documents and trace payments across financial records. Mary keeps contradictions, gaps and corroborating evidence in view, and explains why particular documents were used or excluded.
When new documents are relevant to existing work, Mary suggests updates to supported work product. Once the user accepts and Mary processes the changes, the updated work is available through the connector the next time the team works in Claude.
“Firms shouldn’t have to rebuild their understanding of a case every time they change tools,” said Daniel Lord-Doyle, co-founder of Mary Technology (pictured). “Mary has one focus: turning a matter’s evidence into a factual foundation that lawyers and their AI tools can build on.”
In Mary, lawyers review and confirm facts, see colleagues’ confirmations and follow the audit history. Findings, conflicting accounts, qualifications and lawyer review stay with the matter, so later work builds on what the team has already examined, whichever platform it happens in.
This news comes on the heels of Mary’s recent announcement of a connector for Harvey, as the company expands its specialist capabilities to litigation teams around the country to meet lawyers where they work now.
